We are not only a HGV training institute, but we also provide recruitment help after you finish training. We work with some of the nations top 6 Recruitment agencies to help you find work in your local area. Once you finish your HGV training, you will receive the HGVT Pass Pack containing all the details of our recruitment partners. We do not like to make a fake promise about job placement before you start training as vacancies may vary by the time you pass your test.
HGV stands for heavy goods vehicle (as used in the UK) and LGV stands for large goods vehicle (as referred in the rest of Europe). There is no difference between both. It is entirely the same when you refer to any lorry.
There are many variables when you see for the actual cost of the training like the cost of a medical test, theory training & test, practical training & test and CPC training. Also, keep in mind to consider the re-test cost in case you fail for the first time. However, with us, you can start training with just £10 deposit by signing up to our TRAIN NOW PAY LATER scheme. And don’t forget, our pass protection policy gives you 2 extra attempts if you fail for the first time.
From start to end it takes about 8-12 weeks to get your licence. However, our specially designed training courses in Birmingham will allow you to get your licence in approximately 5 weeks. Keep in mind the practical training & test takes only 5 days, so you don't have to take 5 weeks off from your work.
You need to be 18 years old and hold a valid UK CAT D car licence.
You’ll need to have a valid HGV CAT C (class 2) licence to apply for the Class 1 (HGV CAT C+E) licence. Our training programme takes only 5 days to train you from class 2 to class 1.
Yes, CPC is a legal requirement to drive anywhere commercially in the UK.
To get your professional LGV training, you need to get training at one of our DVSA approved training centre. Give us a call on 0333 060 2240, and we’ll help you in your LGV training and test.
If you’re a class 2 lorry driver, you can get paid up to £26,000 per year. However, if you upgrade your licence to class 1, you can get paid up to £40,000 per year in Birmingham.
