HGVT has the largest network of training centres in the UK.
Our network ensures that 95% of the UK population is never more that one hour away from one of our centres.
Did you know that the haulage and transport industries are short tens of thousands of licenced drivers right now? The industry cannot recruit and hire drivers fast enough to keep up with an expanding economy and the pending retirement of older drivers. This is true in South Lanarkshire as well as almost every other region of the UK. This is one of the reasons we established our HGV training in South Lanarkshire.
For the record, one of the biggest problems the industry is running into is the cost of training. Unlike university and vocational training, the logistics industry gets very little support from government to make training affordable for students. Many drivers who would otherwise be happy to get their commercial driving licences are unable to do so because they cannot pay for training. We want to change that. One of our primary goals as a training company is to always provide low-cost HGV and LGV training in South Lanarkshire and beyond.
Our company was first established based on a vision of helping to mitigate the driver shortage by training as many new drivers as we can. That vision still drives what we do today. To make it possible, the HGV Training Centre works very hard to contain costs so that we can offer our students competitive pricing.
There are lots of ways training companies can manage their costs in order to keep training prices low. But not all of those methods can be implemented without compromising quality. Please understand that our HGV training in South Lanarkshire is low-cost training, but we do not compromise quality in any way. We know how important it is to train drivers according to the highest standards in the industry.
We are able to offer low-cost training due to the size of our company. We operate more than four dozen training facilities across the UK, making us the largest provider of commercial driver training in the country. Our size allows us to take advantage of several cost-cutting strategies:
You have plenty of options for HGV training in South Lanarkshire. We believe our low-cost training is just one of the reasons that make us your best choice. Another reason is our financing option. Even if you do not have the cash on hand to pay for training, you can still register for our classes.
We work with a reputable financing company to help students who do not have the money to pay for training up front. If you qualify, we can offer you a financing package that makes it possible for you to train right away but pay for it over time. Our financing packages are extremely budget-friendly and easy to manage. Be sure to ask about them when you contact us.
Low-cost training is one thing, but training that actually gets results is an entirely different matter. We are proud to say that our HGV training in South Lanarkshire does both. It is high-quality training that achieves the desired results without costing students a small fortune.
Not convinced? Well, consider this: the first-time pass rate across all of our training programmes is consistently above 90%, month after month. Compare that to the national average of just 55% for the LGV practical test. For the last decade, LGV pass rates have stayed between 45% and 55% for reasons no one has been able to explain. Meanwhile, our 90%+ pass rate means we are getting more drivers into the field every single month.
The Secret of Our Success
Our high success rate is directly tied to the way we train students. We can encapsulate our training methodology in one phrase: fast-paced and intense. The way we train is based on the way people learn most naturally, taking advantage of short-term memory to ensure that information is learned, understood, remembered, and recalled at testing time.
