1. Lee Valley Camping and Caravan Park

One of the most well known and popular places to go camping and caravanning near London, Lee Valley is close to the centre of London and has a variety of facilities and activities for you to take advantage of.

As well as caravan pitches, there are glamping options and camping spaces. You can go walking or cycling nearby, or even try white water rafting. Among the attractions on the site itself are an adventure playground, games and sports, and even Wi-Fi.

2. Walton on Thames campsite

Also close to the centre of London, Walton on Thames campsite has a peaceful setting by the river which makes it feel like you’re out in the middle of nowhere – in a good way.

Green and luscious, the campsite offers activities including horse riding, golf, Nordic walking and even llama trekking. You can also pick your own fruit and vegetables at a site nearby at certain times during the year.

3. Abbey Wood Caravan Club

This green and leafy space is also a short drive from the centre of London. It’s big and quiet, with gentle slopes and a remote and rural feel.

Outside the M25 north of London, this park is secluded and provides a great base for exploring nature. You can go walking, cycling or fishing nearby in the various green spaces, trails, rivers and ponds. It’s also a great base to explore the famous Epping Forest.

This caravan park is in a quiet riverside location just a short drive from central London. You can see lots of wildlife around the area including foxes and birds, and you can go canoeing nearby too.
